Room to Reward are delighted to announce Lee Kelly, General Manager of 45 Park Lane, as the latest hospitality professional to become an ambassador for the charity.
The iconic property joined the charity in early 2024 and has welcomed 7 nominated volunteers for a break in what would otherwise be unsold rooms since then. Kelly is also Chair of the W1 Hoteliers’ Association and has networked with members to encourage more engagement with the charity.
“We are absolutely thrilled to add Lee to our team of valued ambassadors,” said Adam Terpening, Director of Room to Reward. “He has already done so much for us and it’s just amazing to have partners and supporters who are so engaged and invested in what we are trying to do.”
Room to Reward guests who have been welcomed to 45 Park Lane include volunteers from community theatres, grassroots sports, cancer support, mental health and education organisations.
Lee Kelly joined Dorchester Collection in August 2022 with over 20 years of international hotel experience. He oversees both the hotel and private residences.
“I am delighted to become an ambassador of such a fantastic charity,” he said. “Room to Reward is such a simple, innovative way for the hospitality industry to support our communities and the Hidden Heroes who do so much for them. We all have empty rooms at certain times of the year and this enables us to put them to meaningful use. I would encourage all hoteliers to get involved.”
Room to Reward works on a simple premise. Hotels, serviced apartments, holiday parks and other hospitality businesses donate their unsold rooms. Charities, community groups, sports clubs and other organisations that rely on volunteers nominate their Hidden Heroes for a break. The charity make it happen.
Founded in 2015, Room to Reward now partners with over 950 hotels across the U.K. Nearly 4000 volunteers nominated by over 1000 voluntary organisations have enjoyed a well-earned break in rooms that would otherwise sit empty. Find out more at www.roomtoreward.org.
