Room to Reward are delighted to announce the addition of the UK Hyatt Hotels as the latest group to join the unique hospitality charity. Four properties including Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, Hyatt Regency Birmingham, Andaz London Liverpool Street and Hyatt Place West London Hayes – will be donating unsold rooms to give ‘thank you’ breaks to inspirational volunteers.
“We are delighted to be joining this brilliant initiative,” said Arnaud de Saint-Exupery, Area Vice President UK and Ireland for Hyatt Hotels Corporation. “We all know people who volunteer their time and skills to really make a difference to charities and communities. Using our unsold rooms across our UK hotels is a meaningful way of giving back and recognising the invaluable contribution of these Hidden Heroes.”
Founded in 2015, Room to Reward now partners with more than 400 hotels located throughout the U.K. Charities and community groups have nominated over 600 volunteers for a well-earned break. Collectively, the hospitality industry has pledged in excess of £470,000 worth of breaks through the simple donation of a few anticipated unsold rooms.
“Our charity is only as strong as the hotels we have behind us” said Adam Terpening, Director of Room to Reward. “We are hugely grateful to the Hyatt Hotels and their teams for their fantastic support. To have the backing of such a significant industry brand demonstrates the value of what we are doing for the Hidden Heroes of our society.”
Room to Reward aims to have donated £1 million pounds worth of breaks through unsold rooms in the next 3 years. To find out more and get involved, visit: www.roomtoreward.org.
